IBCC launches startup fund for youths

The International Billionaire Christian Conference has announced the launch of a startup fund targeted at Christian youths with impressive business ideas.

This was revealed on Monday in a statement issued by the Conference as it announced the second edition of its meeting themed, ‘Power, wealth and technology.’

“In a groundbreaking move that echoes the commitment to empower, inspire, and drive positive change, the 2024 edition of the meeting, fixed for next month at the Redemption Camp, in Ogun State, promises to deliver a transformative experience that goes beyond the ordinary, embracing the intersection of faith, business, and technological innovation,” part of the statement read.

The convener of IBCC, Olatayo Ajiboye, said this year’s edition is loaded with attractions aimed at impacting Christian youths. The avenues for the impact include scholarships and the launching of dedicated funding for startups.

On the startup fund, Ajiboye said, “IBCC is introducing a startup fund aimed at financing promising business ideas, which will see beneficiaries selected through a rigorous pitch deck session, with the IBCC-Startup Management Board. The Board is made up of seasoned investors and managers, who will oversee the mentorship and management of selected ventures.”

He added that in line with the IBCC’s commitment to education and skill development, the 2024 edition is providing scholarships for over 300 participants through the esteemed allied techno-craft learning company, Skilharvest.

Ajiboye stressed that the initiative seeks to equip individuals with the knowledge and expertise necessary to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of technology and entrepreneurship.

Also at the second edition of the meeting, the Billionaire Christian Community, managed by the International Billionaire Christian College will be launched.

“This community is envisioned as a vibrant platform for weekly/monthly mentorship and teaching sessions, featuring influential business leaders from around the world as facilitators,” he said.

Ajiboye said that the IBCC’s 2024 edition is not just an event but a catalyst for positive change, saying, “The convergence of faith, wealth, and technology underscores the conference’s commitment to holistic empowerment. Attendees can expect not only unparalleled learning opportunities and financial support but also a sustained ecosystem for growth, guidance, and collaboration.”

IBCC was launched last year by Ajiboye when he brought Christian youths together for a conference that was designed to teach them sound principles of prospering through establishing and running genuine businesses.

Explaining the thought behind the conference, he said at the launch, “We want to bring a system in place for an annual conference. God wants me to dwell in a city without poverty; recruit billionaires to promote the last phase of the Gospel; to repair the things that are not being properly done.”
