Patronise Made In Nigeria Products, FG Tells Nigerians

The Federal Government has called on Nigerians to always patronize made in Nigeria goods and services to boost local production and enhance the growth of the nation’s economy.

The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo made the call in Abuja during the Nigeria @ 60 Exhibition of Made In Nigeria Products and Services.

Professor Osinbajo who said Nigeria was blessed with abundant human and natural resources explained that the country has what it takes to make impact in the global economy.

In a remark, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha advised Nigerian manufacturers to take advantage of various Government policies and programnes in improving their businesses.

According to him, the present administration would continue to give priority to programnes that would further unite and develop the country.

Also, the Director General of World Trade Organization, Doctor Ngozi Okonjo Iweala who spoke virtually stressed the need for Government at all levels to encourage the growth of small scale businesses towards repositioning the nation’s economy.

Earlier, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Adebayo Adeniyi said Nigeria has reasons to celebrate her 60th Independence Anniversary.

Otunba Adeniyi who is the Chairman, Ownership Sub- Committee Nigeria @ 60 said his Ministry would continue to promote the growth of small and medium businesses to improve the country’s GDP and grow the nation’s economy.

The Minister who explained that the five day exhibition would be used to promote locally produced goods and services advised Nigerians to keep hope alive for a greater and prosperous Nigeria.

The event which was attended by Chief Executives of Parastatals, Members of the Diplomatic Corps and Nigerian Manufacturers featured presentation of Nigeria’s unity dance to promote the peace and unity of Nigeria
