NATIONAL PLANNING INAUGURATES MINISTERIAL SERVICOM COMMITTEE 

The permanent secretary, Budget and National Planning, Mrs Olusola O. Idowu, has said that the FG is committed to delivering quality service to its citizen through Nigeria Service Delivery Initiative known as Service Compact With All Nigerians (SERVICOM)

She made this known yesterday while inaugurating the ministerial servicom committee of National Planning, in Abuja.

Mrs Idowu stated that servicom improves Nigerian Public Services by building the capacity of public servants through trainings, and supporting MDA’s to demonstrate how services could be improved in practice.

The Permanent Secretary further stated that “ it is worth noting that, Management is committed to ensuring that our services in this Ministry are citizens focused. The membership of MSC is carefully considered by the Management. The management in its wisdom approved the Champions on Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), being the Ministry’s Change Agents, to compose the MSC membership. 
“This will assist to promote effective coordination of all the Reform’s programmes by the RC&SI Department and other Department and Units. I believe the inauguration of this committee, as change agents of this ministry, will enhance our performances in rendering excellent customer’s services in accordance with SERVICOM core values; Excellency, Integrity, Accountability, Efficiency and Commitment”.

In her key-note address, the National Servicom Coordinator (NSC) Mrs Nnenna Akajemoh, represented by the Head of Operation, Mrs Jummai Abdullahi, noted that  National planning was core in the cordination of quality delivery of government services to Nigerians, since implementation process of every policy starts from  the planning stage.
