Nigeria @ 60: ALGON’s Made-In-Nigeria Exhibition/Trade Fair Begins Monday

The Association of Local Government Of Nigeria’s made-in-Nigeria exhibition/trade fair and lecture to celebrate Nigeria’s 60th independence anniversary will commence on Monday September 27 at the Old Parade Ground in Abuja.

The event is the first of its kind conceptualized with the objective of promoting massive economic development and empowerment schemes at the grassroots.

The programme also marks the end of a year-long series of activities designed to mark Nigeria’s 60th Independence Anniversary as directed and approved by President Muhammadu Buhari in September, 2020.

Expected to grace the occasion are the Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo (SAN); Senate President Senator Ahmed Lawan; Secretary to the Government of the Federation Boss Mustapha; Minister of Industries, Trade & Investment, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo; Minister of Special Duties & Inter-Governmental Affairs, Senator. George Akume.

The Chairman of the occasion is the Governor Ekiti State Kayode Fayemi and the host of the event is the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Alhaji Mohammed Musa Bello while the Royal Father of the day is the Ona of Abaji, HRH Alhaji Baba Yunusa, Chairman FCT Council of Chiefs

Others dignitaries expected at the event are the Minister of Information Alhaji Lai Mohammed; Director-General of the National Orientation Agency Alhaji Garba Umar; Mr Umana Umana of the Oil and Gas Free Trade Zone; Eng Simbi Wambote of Nigerian Content Development Monitoring Board; Local Government Chairmen; Royal Fathers; captains of industry; and members of the Diplomatic Corps among others.

The Trade Fair and Exhibition would last from Monday 27th September to Thursday 30th September.
