The APC helmsman noted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s decision to choose Otu, the Cross River governor as Chairman of the national campaign team was indicative of the high premium he placed on the Imo guber election and the seriousness he attached to it.

Imploring Imo citizens to take advantage of Uzodinma’s goodwill, wisdom and pragmatic leadership, to secure a better future for the state, Ganduje said: “Gov. Uzodinma is a loving, intelligent, dexterous, and cooperative gentleman to the President and APC in general and President Tinubu has promised to do everything in his power to move Imo to the next level.”

Otu, who is poised to lead APC to victory in the Imo guber election, maintained that “It is only Uzodimma that can complete the projects in the state. We want Imo to be better and greater than it is. Only one man can do this, increase federal presence, dredging of Oguta Lake, and many others.”

Also speaking at the event, Uzodinma expressed gratitude to President Tinubu and the national leadership of the party for all their support.

Describing APC as a movement in Imo State, the Uzodinma said: “APC is a party to beat because, from all indications, the APC is the only party in Imo that is properly positioned and ready for the November election.

“No doubt my people are very confident and waiting for the D-Day. So what is already known will be made formal.

“We have embarked on reconciliation. All the leaders and members of our great party who had suffered one grievance or the other, we have opened the doors.

“Of late, not only have many of them come back to join the party, but we have also witnessed massive defections from other political parties.

“As I speak to you, for the majority of the opposition political parties in Imo state, their party structures and the majority of their leaderships have joined the APC.”

Other APC chieftains present at the inauguration were Governors of Ebonyi, Francis Nwifuru; Yobe, Mai Mala-Buni and Katsina, Dikko Umar Radda. The event as well had several ministers and members of the APC National Working Committee in attendance.
