The Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) said the successful re-opening of the Warri Refinery and Petrochemicals Company has heralded a new era for the Nigerian oil and gas industry, aligning perfectly with the vision and advocacy of the union.
A statement by NUPENG President, Williams Akporeha and General Secretary, Afolabi Olawale, commended the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL), Mele Kyari, and its management for the developments after several years of dormancy, stating that the remarkable achievement was a testament to the transformative Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
According to them, following the successful re-streaming of the Port Harcourt Refinery about a month ago, the revival of the Warri Refinery marks another significant milestone
While they commended Kyari for driving the monumental changes, they stressed that his efforts have not only revitalised critical infrastructure but have also instilled renewed confidence and optimism within the industry.
