Oil and Gas Free Zones Authority (OGFZA)and Nigerian Customs Service(NCS) have resolved to strengthen their bonds of collaboration to achieve better service delivery.
This commitment was the outcome of two separate meetings between functionaries of the two Agencies.
Recently,the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer Of Oil and Gas Free Zones Authority, Bamanga Usman Jada received the Comptroller, Area 11 Command , Onne, Compt.Mohammed Babandede who was on a courtesy visit in his office in Abuja.
Babandede restated the commitment of the Comptroller General Of Customs Service, CGC Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR to work with OGFZA to facilitate trade and encourage export in order for the country to achieve a balance of trade with other countries and improve foreign exchange earnings for Nigeria.
Similarly, the Customs Area Controller Of The Port Harcourt Oil and Gas Free Trade Zone Command,Comptroller Usman Seriki paid a courtesy visit to the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer Of OGFZA at the Authority’s Head Office,Onne late last month.
He reaffirmed the commitment to sustain the existing relationship between OGFZA and NCS in terms of Trade Facilitation and Regulatory Compliance within the Oil and Gas Free Zones.
Responding, OGFZA boss acknowledged the contributions of Customs Service to the numerous success stories of the Zones.
“This cooperation can further contribute to the overall economic growth by boosting trade volume, creating a more efficient and attractive business environment in Nigeria’s Oil and Gas Free Zones “, Bamanga Usman Jada assured.
