“His (Aiyedatiwa’s) victory was foretold having built on the legacy of his illustrious predecessor, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu of blessed memory. His resounding victory speaks not only of the trust the people have in him but also the level of their expectations from him. He must therefore make their lives noticeably better as he gets set to begin his fresh mandate in February 2025.

“They came out en masse and spoke very loudly for him to continue to serve them as could be seen in the result of the election. He should endeavour to justify the confidence the people have reposed in him by not disappointing them. I wish him well!”

Ndoma-Eagba, an APC Chieftain from Cross River State, applauded INEC, the entire residents of Ondo State and other stakeholders for the proper conduct of the election which has been widely acknowledged as peaceful, transparent, free and fair.

Aiyedatiwa, who was a member of the NDDC Board when Ndoma-Egba was the Chairman, became acting governor of Ondo State after his principal, Akeredolu, took ill.
