BUA Expand University Of Maiduguri’s Entrepreneurship Centre

BUA Group has released a N1bn grant to fund the University of Maiduguri Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development Complex.

The presentation was made by the Chairman of the Company Abdulsamad Rabiu, on Thursday.

The grant forms part of the Group’s first cohort of Tertiary Education Grants Scheme.

” This grant will be used to develop the school’s Centre for Innovation and Product Development for UNIMAID Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development (UM-CEED) Complex,” the Group said.

UNIMAID is the third university out of six to benefit from the ASR Africa grant.

Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and University of Ibadan are the first beneficiaries of the initiative.

Aliyu Idi Hong, representing the Chairman of ASR Africa and BUA Group, disclosed that the project initiation process and development of mutual accountability frameworks to guide the grant usage for the University’s Centre for Innovation and Product Development will commence immediately.

Receiving the grant, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Aliyu Shugaba, expressed gratitude for the philanthropy of the Group Chairman, Abdulsamad Rabiu.

According to him, the university community will harness the grant in raising grounded entrepreneurs.
